Violin

Cello/Violin

The violincello or cello, with the same shape as a violin, is the tenor voice in the string family and is a popular musical instrument in performances. Held between the player’s knees, it can produce melodious sounds from both its lowest and highest notes.

Flute

A transverse reedless musical instrument of the woodwind family, the Western concert flute is made from a variety of different metals and has circular finger holes. It can be used to produce high and low sounds depending on which finger holes are opened or closed.

Piano

One of the world’s most familiar musical instruments, the piano is a large keyboard musical instrument with a wooden case that encloses a sound board and steel strings which are struck by hammers when the keys are depressed. The strings’ vibration is stopped by dampers when the keys are released, and it can be regulated for length and volume by two or three foot pedals. It has two basic configurations – upright and grand. The word piano is shortened from the word pianoforte.
